This is a stunning vintage folk art carving by Caron Studios in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec, Canada. Carved beautifully by C Caron, one of the great carvers following in the traditions set down by Paul Caron. This hand carved figure reminds me of an old fisherman wistfully looking at the sea thinking of his glory days on the boats. Perhaps you will imagine something else.
