This vintage Little Hostess child's lemon yellow set by Hazel Atlas is part of the Moderntone line in the Hazel Atlas Platonite glass. In 1936, Hazel-Atlas introduced a type of glass called Platonite, which was semi-opaque and is often mistaken for milk glass. Patterns made with Platonite glass could be fired in any number of colors. The color of this early child's toy tea cup set is pastel lemon yellow. This Moderntone style set dates from the 1950s. The lemon yellow colour covers the outside of the cup but not the bottom of the saucer. For your collection or as replacements.
